One record "Addenda to the Phillip Alston Line" in the Groves book, section added by Rev. Silas Emmet Lucas indicates that the Mary H. Hawkins that married Augustus Alston was daughter of James Hawkins. One James Madison Hawkins b 1809 to Benjamin Hawkins and Lavinia Downs of Georgia, probably needs not be considered. Another, James B. Hawkins son of John Davis Hawkins and Jane A. Boyd, and grandson of Philemon III, needs to be considered. | Hawkins, Mary Helen (I1666)

ORDINANCES: In the IGI, 1994 Edition, Jane was sealed to her parents 2 times. 5 February 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple date gives her christening date as 3 January 1812. The 18 May 1978 in the Ogden Temple gives her christening date as 19 January 1812, which is the correct christening date. I have a copy of the parish record stating this. She was christened by I. Roberts, Rector. On the marriage certificate for Jane and Thomas, it says Jane was a glove maker.
