2015 It needs to be noted here that Sarah Myers Lindsay died about 3 weeks after her arrival in Ut ah of breast cancer. Wanting to die among the saints, it was at her request that her famil y made the journey west while she was terminally ill. One must admire the courage and dedicat ion that this woman has.

BIRTH: Possibly wrong Father -- IGI C088761-0242

BIRTH: Birth entry - 1800 Die 9 July nata at die 13 bap fuit Sarah (Close crossed out) Myers , filia Thomas & Maria (Close crossed out) Myers (olim Close) conjugum. Patrinus William Hogg et, ? Hoget Matrina. The father in this record says Thomas. I believe this is incorrect for the following reasons . 1) Family records indicate her father was Richard. 2) There is a Thomas and Maria Close i n the area at the time (possibly a brother?) 3) There were many errors in the record. 4) From 1797 to abt 1830 Mary Close is always married to Ric or Ricardi except in this case.*
