  Md. 2nd William Breeden, whose family was from Sevierville, Tenn. They had 2 female children , one md. a Hughes, the other a McKinney. Wm. Breeden was a "carpetbagger" in the traditiona l sense of the word who claimed to have lots of land in Tenn. He didn't. Elizabeth and the 3 boys went to Tenn. with him, where Elizabeth had the two girls. After a while, she had e ndured all the hardship she could stand, loaded a wagon, and returned to NC with her remaining family. When she got back to NC she declared it to be the best drink of water she had had in years.
