Pension Appliction filed by Nancy Frost 29 May 1850 claim 84949 Saved Book no 2 Jyne 4, 1950 160 acres warrant 70410 Assd 9 July 1850 John Wallis & Jane Wallis - 29 May 1850 Knew Lafayette when first came to Knox Co. TN and then Hancock, IL - between 1826-1846. He was age 21 when he enlisted. His complexion was pale, not very fair and of an unhealthy cast, hair darkish brown, eyes blue. He was born in Knox TN. He did occasional farming and some blacksmithing. He lived with Mrs. Nancy Frost before going to Council Bluffs. He joined the army again after his discharge, and died in san Diego the 8th or 9th of Sept., 1847. His father was John Frost, now deceased. His mother was Mary Frost, a seamstress. Father died in Hancock Co., IL. I John Wallis saw him dead and was at the funeral.1 brother, Jeremiah; sister Jane Wallis; Mary Rawlins; Martha E. Frost, and Rebecca Frost - all living. Lafayette was not married to the best of my knowledge or had any children. signed John and Jane Wallis
